Position Summary
The Engineering Tech V will play a pivotal role in leading hardware and software development efforts, as well as overseeing modeling, simulation, and system test and evaluation initiatives. This position requires a deep technical background and proven experience in advanced technology development and deployment.
Successful candidates have the following capabilities:
Demonstrated expertise in waveform development and integration, with extensive experience employing waveforms across multiple tactical radio platforms.
Proficient in designing and implementing system protocols, including Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID), WiFi, traffic routing, and message translation processes.
Skilled in hosting databases and developing software solutions to enable end-user devices.
Proven ability to design and manage gateway processes, dual-domain subsystems, cross-domain solutions, and data-at-rest encryption mechanisms.
Responsibilities
Systems Engineering and Technical Support
Provide comprehensive support for the Digital Interoperability (DI) Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Agile Network Gateway Link (MANGL) family of systems, encompassing:
Systems engineering
Hardware and software design and support
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) engineering and compliance
Internet Protocol (IP) networking, data links, and tactical radio networks
Waveform development and integration
Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC)
Architecture and Requirements Development
Develop and refine architecture solutions and manage requirements for RF systems, hardware, and software.
Lead efforts in software and firmware development, ensuring alignment with specialized mission systems and compliance standards.
Electromagnetic Compatibility and Mission Systems
Oversee Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) engineering to ensure compliance with standards for mission-critical systems.
Support the design and development of specialized mission systems to meet operational needs.
Analytical and Continuity Support
Provide analytical expertise and continuity to support the United States Marine Corps Digital Interoperability team’s operations and objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement and Technical Leadership
Develop and present technical discussions and solutions regarding digital interoperability to MANGL stakeholders, cross-service, and joint partners.
Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring alignment of technical efforts with operational goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-service and joint partners to advance digital interoperability initiatives, ensuring cohesive implementation of MANGL capabilities.
Support the Digital Interoperability (DI) Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Agile Network Gateway Link (MANGL) family of systems to include systems engineering, hardware and software design and support, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) engineering and compliance, internet protocol (IP) networking, data links, and tactical radio networks, waveform development and integration, and commercial solutions for classified (CSfC).
Provide analytical support and continuity for the management of the United States Marine Corps Digital Interoperability team.
Develop, present, and lead technical discussions pertaining to digital interoperability in support of MANGL stakeholders, cross-service and joint partners.
Education Required
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering discipline. Allowable substitution: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering discipline with an additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for a Master's degree.
Experience Required
Ten (10) years of experience in an engineering position is required.
