Position Summary
The Systems Engineer will provide comprehensive technical and engineering support services for Air Combat Electronics program office at NAVAIR (PMA-209). This role requires expertise in both software and hardware systems, with a thorough understanding of the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process. The Systems Engineer will contribute to the development and review of Systems Engineering documentation (e.g., Systems Engineering Plans, specifications) and facilitate SETR events (e.g., SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR). Additionally, the Systems Engineer will analyze customer requirements against specifications and support a range of engineering activities to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other relevant technical documentation.
Support system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and acquisition/resource management.
Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests or evaluates products related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems.
Develop and document procedures, work instructions and design practices criteria to standardize work product deliverables.
Evaluate technical specifications and assess compliance with applicable performance requirements.
Provide recommendations and inputs for test plans, procedures, and other critical engineering deliverables.
Required Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, or an Engineering Discipline. Four-year ABET accredited Engineering Degree preferred.
Required Experience
3-10 years' experience
Preferred Experience
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes.
Knowledge of Naval Test Procedures and military standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
