Position Summary
The TACCOM Logistics Analyst oversees the complete lifecycle management of modernized communication capabilities within the ARC-210 program. This role involves collaborating with logistics and maintenance control organizations to address critical areas, including technical evaluations, identification of logistics requirements and resources for weapon systems, and the development and execution of logistics support and maintainability programs.
Key responsibilities include analyzing system acquisition requirements, managing budgets and financial controls, conducting life cycle cost analyses, ensuring hardware and software standardization and compatibility, and overseeing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) programs. The analyst also leads ILS/R&M program planning, testing, evaluation, and management to ensure successful execution.
Responsibilities
Analyze and Coordinate Logistics Functions: Manage and oversee logistics operations for Secure Communications integration projects across Naval Aviation, ensuring efficient and effective execution.
Enhance Weapon Systems Supportability: Perform tasks related to developing, operating, evaluating, and improving weapon systems' supportability and maintainability programs and associated information systems.
Data Management and Analysis: Collect, compile, analyze, and interpret logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data. Develop and validate documentation for automated logistics and maintenance reporting systems, as well as management information systems.
Apply Engineering Principles: Utilize engineering expertise to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate military weapons systems.
Technical Documentation and Analysis: Prepare and review engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other key technical documentation to support project objectives.
System Integration and Quality Assurance: Leverage engineering experience to perform system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and acquisition and resource management.
Product Development and Testing: Analyze, design, develop, implement, and test products to meet engineering and functional requirements for military weapons systems.
Standardize Work Products: Write and implement procedures, work instructions, and design criteria to ensure standardization and consistency across work products.
Technical Evaluation: Evaluate technical specifications and performance requirements, providing insights and recommendations to meet operational goals.
Support Testing and Implementation: Recommend and contribute to the development of test plans and procedures, while providing additional inputs and support as needed.
Required Experience
Six (6) years of experience in NAVAIR avionics support equipment life cycle (acquisition) logistics is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Required Education
Bachelor of Science or Arts degree or current efforts towards Professional Logistics Certification. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional five (5) years of experience working in direct support of Defense life-cycle logistics can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
