We're in an exciting growth phase and looking for motivated team members to join us as we scale.
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our internal team and support multiple government contracting clients. Reporting to the Manager, GovCon Accounting and Finance Services, you will process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and credit card statements, and assist with month-end close processes. Success in this role requires managing multiple client accounts, fostering strong client-team relationships, and consistently delivering high-quality, proactive accounting support.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting / Finance Support for Multiple GovCon Clients:
Process vendor invoices and generate customer invoices
Prepare and process payrolls
Code and enter credit card and bank transactions
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Investigate and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies
Support month-end close processes and reconciliations
Maintain up-to-date client SOP documentation
Perform additional duties as assigned
Client Interaction:
Maintain clear, timely communication with clients
Build strong client relationships through responsiveness and attention to detail
Collaborate proactively with team members, clients, and leadership
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; 7+ years of relevant experience may substitute
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
1+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
1+ years’ experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations
Knowledge of GAAP
Experience in GovCon accounting and familiarity with FAR/DCAA compliance preferred
Experience with accounting systems such as Unanet and/or Costpoint
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills to manage multiple projects proactively
Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving ability

Accuracy & attention to detail: Minimal errors in financial data, invoices, and reconciliations
Timely execution: AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations completed on schedule

Multi-client management: Prioritize and manage multiple accounts efficiently
Process consistency: Maintain and improve SOPs for scalable workflows

Continuous growth: Expand knowledge of GovCon accounting, systems, and compliance
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain seated for extended periods while using a computer
Frequent computer use, including typing, screen viewing, and navigating multiple systems
Effective verbal and written communication via phone and video
Ability to occasionally move light equipment (up to 10–15 lbs)
Visual acuity for reviewing detailed financial data
Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a remote environment
